Evaluation of muscle strain injury severity in active human body models
Highlights:
• An injury criterion to evaluate the severity of muscle strain injuries was defined.
• The criterion was substantiated with biomechanical data and simulation results.
• The injury criterion can easily be applied to current active human body models.
