Prof. Oliver Röhrle and Jana Disch attended the 7th VPH Summer School in Barcelona in June 2023. The Summer School focused on “Models interoperability and reuse” and provided junior engineers and early researchers from all over the world to get an insight into state-of-the-art of in silico modelling in the medical field.
Prof. Röhrle was one of over 15 leading international researchers to give a lecture on key methodologies and concepts in computational modelling. The VPH summer school also included a visit to the Barcelona Supercomputer Centre and a selection of hands-on projects that allowed participants to learn new methods and technologies in in silico medicine and apply them to a specific healthcare problem. Afternoon poster sessions provided Jana Disch an opportunity to discuss her own research with fellow junior scientists as well as leading researchers in in silico modelling and simulation.
